Overview

Building interest-based communities and real connections through a mobile-first social experience

Komu

Description

Komu is a social media application developed in collaboration with Voodoo, designed around interest-based communities where users can share content, interact and connect with others. The platform enables users to discover people through shared interests and transition from in-app interaction to real-world connections. GettingApp partnered to design and build the mobile application.

Challenge

Most social networks focus on large audiences and passive consumption, making it difficult for users to form meaningful connections. Discovering people with shared interests often requires navigating multiple platforms. The challenge was to create a mobile-first product that simplifies community creation and enables more direct and authentic connections between users.
